About Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD)
The Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD) tracks the Dow Jones U.S. Dividend 100 index, which selects around 100 US companies with a long history of paying dividends and with solid financial metrics. Unlike a total-market ETF, it gives more weight to quality, income-generating companies in sectors such as consumer goods, health care and industrials, and less to big technology.
It is one of the most popular dividend ETFs among investors and has a very low management fee (TER) of around 0.06% per year. It distributes dividends to investors (it is not accumulating). In October 2024 it carried out a 3-for-1 stock split, which divided the price by three without changing the value of the investment.
