Insurance Calculators
Tools for working out what your policy actually pays: the deductible, the sum insured and what happens when you make a claim.

Insurance Deductible Calculator
A deductible (franquia) is the share of a loss you carry yourself, but it is not always subtracted. Enter the loss and what your policy says to see what the insurer pays and what comes out of your pocket.

A personal accident policy does not pay a flat amount: it pays the capital multiplied by the disability percentage certified for you, and only above the minimum written into the policy. Enter what yours says and see what follows.
Open calculator →How Much Life Insurance Do I Need
The sum insured on a life policy is chosen by you, not by the insurer. This calculator adds up what your household would have to carry and subtracts what is already covered, to give you the figure that is missing.

About the insurance calculators
Insurance is a contract, and almost everything that decides what you receive is written in the policy rather than in the law: article 49(3) of the Portuguese Insurance Contract Act leaves deductibles and indemnity tiers to the parties. So these calculators publish no "typical" figures: they ask what your policy says and show the arithmetic that follows, step by step. We do not compare prices or recommend insurers: we explain the sum your policy requires. These are educational estimates and do not replace the policy or professional advice.
