About AT&T (T)

AT&T is one of the largest telecom operators in the United States. After a failed media venture — it bought Time Warner and then spun it off in 2022, creating Warner Bros. Discovery — it refocused on its core business: the mobile network and fibre internet. Revenue comes mainly from customer subscriptions, which gives it a stable but slow-growing cash flow.

It trades on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker T and is part of the S&P 500. It is known as a high-dividend stock, although it cut the dividend in 2022 following the media spin-off. It carries a large debt load, inherited from acquisitions, which it has been reducing.
