Pick your situation and the conventional remuneration tier you want to contribute on (article 180 of the Contributory Code). A higher tier costs more per month but counts more towards the future pension. From age 64 (in 2026) the law caps the choice at the 5th tier.
| Remuneration tier | Tier 1 (1 × IAS) |
| Conventional remuneration (base) | €537.13 |
| Contribution rate | 26.9% |
| Contribution per month | €144.49 |
| Over a full year (12 payments) | €1,733.88 |
Cover included: disability, old age and death. It does not include unemployment, sickness or parental benefits.
Moving up a tier requires 12 consecutive months on the current tier and being under the legal age limit (64 in 2026, rising to 65 by 2028); moving down is always allowed. From that age, the base is capped at the 5th tier.
The contribution is paid every month, by the 20th of the following month. More than 12 months without paying ends the enrolment in the scheme.
